v0.6.0 - Public beta launch
SuperMail enters public beta with a multi-provider unified inbox, custom-domain send/receive, and native iOS + Android apps.
We’re opening the doors. SuperMail v0.6.0 is our first public beta - a single app that wraps every inbox you care about and runs everywhere you type.
What’s in the box
Multi-provider unified inbox
Connect Gmail / Google Workspace via OAuth, and Outlook / Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, Fastmail, or any other IMAP/SMTP mailbox with an app password. Sync runs over IMAP IDLE - near-real-time on IDLE-compatible connections, with a periodic poll as fallback. Threads, attachments, search, and read state stay consistent across providers. A per-account filter keeps things sane when you need to focus on one mailbox at a time.
Custom domains (send + receive)
Bring up to ten domains on a single subscription. We provision an outbound-email identity, hand back DKIM and MX records, and flip the switch once DNS propagates. Inbound mail routes straight into your unified inbox. Custom domains and personal mailboxes share the same per-plan account-slot budget.
Bulk archive by sender
A guided wizard that groups your inbox by sender and lets you archive everything from newsletters and notification senders in one pass. Documented at /docs/inbox/triage/.
Native mobile apps
iOS and Android apps include push notifications and optional biometric lock. You can add common providers on mobile; Gmail account linking currently starts on web and then appears on mobile.
Rich compose
A full compose editor with formatting, lists, links, attachments, multiple From addresses, autosaved drafts, and Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to send.
Search
Search covers subject, message body, people’s names, and attachment filenames, with filters for account, folder, tag, date, and attachment presence.
Local tags
Tag any message with #starred, #pinned, #spam, #trash, #archive, or your own custom
tags. Tags are local to SuperMail and don’t round-trip to Gmail labels, Outlook categories,
or IMAP keywords.
Auth
Sign in with email and password. On mobile, you can add optional biometric unlock.
What’s changing during beta
- Pricing is not final. Current tiers are aspirational. Users who sign up during beta lock in their rate for at least 12 months after GA.
- Expect bugs. Keep your original mailbox provider connected so you always have a backup copy of your mail.
- We’re listening. Every feature request at feedback@supermail.app lands in a human inbox.
What shipped next (v0.7.0)
Two features shipped next because they touch data portability and privacy promises:
- Mailbox export as a standard
.mboxfile, plus clearer data removal timelines after you disconnect an account or cancel.
Beyond v0.7.0 we’re working on native OAuth sign-in for Outlook / Microsoft 365 and Yahoo
(currently IMAP + app password), shared mailboxes for the Business plan, mobile Gmail OAuth,
and a public /status page.
Thanks for trying SuperMail. If you hit anything rough, please tell us - that’s the point of a beta.
