Reply, reply-all, forward

Reply

Click Reply below the most recent message in the thread.

SuperMail defaults the From to the send profile used on the previous message in the thread. The previous message is quoted at the bottom of the reply (standard email convention). You can collapse or delete the quoted section before sending.

Reply-all

Click Reply all. Addresses everyone on the most recent message’s To + Cc, minus yourself. Works the same way on every connected provider.

Forward

Click Forward. Opens a blank To field with the message body + attachments quoted below. Attachments are included by default - toggle them off via the attachments row in the composer if you don’t want to re-send.

Quoted text styling

  • Plain text replies use > prefixes on each quoted line (RFC 3676).
  • HTML replies wrap the quoted thread in a collapsible <blockquote> with a subtle vertical rule. Standard across modern clients.

From-picker on reply

If you received the original message at blake@yourdomain.com, the From defaults to blake@yourdomain.com. You can override from the From picker. Useful cases:

  • Someone emailed you on your personal Gmail but you want to reply from a work alias.
  • You’re replying to a newsletter that hit your catch-all and want to use your primary address.

SuperMail remembers your choice for future replies on the same thread.

Signature behavior

  • Reply - signature is inserted above the quoted text (so your sig shows, then the quoted original).
  • Forward - signature is inserted at the top, above the forwarded content.

If you have different signatures per send profile, the profile in the From picker determines which signature is used. Change From, signature updates.
