Contacts
The Contacts screen is your editable address book. Open Contacts from the sidebar.
How contacts get into the book
Contacts are suggestions-based, not auto-populated. As mail flows in and out, SuperMail surfaces the people you’ve corresponded with as suggested contacts. You opt them in by:
- Clicking Save as contact on a suggestion in the Contacts → Suggested view.
- Opening any message and clicking Add sender to contacts in the sender card.
A contact is created from the message’s From / To / display name; you can edit anything after.
What a contact stores
- Addresses - one or more email addresses for this person.
- Display name.
- Notes - a free-text field you can edit.
- Tags - SuperMail tags you can attach to the contact (e.g.
vendor,investor).
How contacts are used
- Compose autocomplete - typing in the To / Cc / Bcc fields suggests matches from your saved contacts.
- Search - the From filter in advanced search autocompletes against your contacts.
Editing a contact
Click any contact to open the detail view. You can:
- Add or remove email addresses.
- Edit the display name.
- Add or remove notes.
- Add or remove tags.
Sync
Contacts are workspace-local. They don’t push back to Gmail Contacts or Outlook People, and we don’t pull from those sources today. If you need contact sync with your provider, a native Gmail/Outlook contact app remains the right tool for that.
